Why the wet bars are so popular among some families? Building a wet bar near the kitchen or dining room which can be used as a secondary serving area or even another food preparation area while the living room wet bars are great for serving drinks in an entertaining situation.

sesshu_wet_barWet bars are so convenient and building a wet bar is fairly simple. You can create beautiful and functional layouts easily just as you imagined. Anyway, you should plan ahead to get your home wet bar dimensions, supports, and electrical needs correct for starters. These wet bar plans and construction tips will help get all those desired wet bars out there underway.

The tough part is choosing your wet bar cabinets by wood species or select materials and styles that are best for your wet bar area. I happened to select cherry wainscoting for the front of my wet bar. This product matched perfectly some wonderful cherry Marital cabinets that I have in the same room. The wainscoting was supplied by New England Classic. This is a wonderful company that has all sorts of natural wood and paint grade wainscoting that is custom designed for your personal application or job. You simply send them the dimensions of what you want to do and they come up with a design using their standard parts.

The wet bar wall is also important to support a top and shelves that might be on the bartender side. But, don’t think It is a big deal. You will find a U-shaped bar is obviously the best design. A curved wall is also very strong but presents all sorts of challenges to build. I designed my L-shaped bar with a short wing wall which turned out to be very stable. You can also can choose such designs. The wall thickness which also need to consider. If you can afford the space, construct the bar wall from 2×6’s or better yet 2×8’s. I had to use 2×4’s because of space problems at my home. The wider the wall the more stability you produce.

Having planed for electrical appliances, mixers, refrigerators, phones, etc. The lighting of the bar may would you mind anyway. Indirect lighting, hanging fixtures, recessed lights, etc. are all possibilities. Creative lighting can really enhance a wet bar. Visit a true lighting showroom, not a big box store, and get some suggestions from the salespeople. I’ll bet they can give you plenty of ideas!

When your own bar has been settled. You will not sit or stand at someone’s basement or family room bar and just envying. You will feel that a home office area with a wet bar while there is small refrigerator and microwave for mid afternoon snacks is really perfect.

my_home_barHow you spend your leisure time? Do you like going to a bar? How you always hold parties at home? These are all the questions that we need to think in creating higher quality life. If you want your home is the place where your friends and family tend to gather for sporting events, card games or a great place to hang out on a Friday night. Then consider building a home bar to add a little flare to your entertaining. You will enjoy the process in your bar design.

If you decide on building a bar which is just the first step. Many decisions have to be made throughout the building process to determine how much space the bar take up, where is will be located and just which style that the bar will be designed into. And in my opinion, the design to a bar is the most important factor to a home bar.

Yes, maybe the process of designing your home bar is itself a enjoyment, just depends what you think about it. Home bar can come in many different colors and designs, and will have different kinds of storage space, depending on exactly what it is you set up. Some branded home bars are decorative items that give a special touch of style. I can give you some popular home bar design examples, which may help you and hope you can create miracle at your home.

The first popular design, which may look very classic, worth looking at , and is an armoire and wine cabinet by Howard Miller. It hosts a concealed wine and liquor cabinet. It can store liquor bottles as well as glassware and boasts a twenty two bottle rack. The mirrored back, wood finish, and laminated shelf drawers reflect real beauty. And the counter space is just about right for any home bartender in the making. If you are a quiet person, maybe you will like the bars like this.

Another one is famous Droog Design means “dry design” in Dutch. Droog Design has been distinguished by their innovative concepts like modern chandeliers. Their designs have been described in terms of “humor” and “intelligence” and it is quite evident in their modern chandeliers like the 85 Lamps modern chandelier. Droog Design is a collaboration of many different designers around the world and one could say it is the closest thing to a design movement of late. They offer a poor physical experience. So, If you are a person who hate the restricts in daily life, you may like this design.

Yet another option is something like the Lexington folding bar set. It bears a similarity to the swing open bar. It cleverly gives the appearance of an average living room cabinet by day and by night, it is a full bar in a beautiful wood finish, when you pull out the two extensions. This bar can house a full stock of alcoholic drinks and wine bottles. It has pull-out drawers where the tools of the trade can be stored.

Of course, there are still many other designs, but you should make a point is that: There is no best one, just the most suitable one to yourself. So, enjoying the process of designing your own home bar and creating happy life.

home_bar_signageBuilding a home bar is a great addition to any home, but deciding on building a bar is just the first step, the following suitable décor and relevant accessories will decide whether you built a successful bar for your home.

When you want to build a home bar, you should know that different decor will bring you different atmosphere. Of course, which all depends on the style you or your family member like. Whatever the decor theme you decide, you should realize that you can create a new “world” in your home.

when you decor your home bar, it is wise to take into account your drinking preferences. If your are a fan of whisky and beer, a cowboy or ranch theme might fit you. Hang an old beaten up hat and a washboard on the wall, or a mule harness. Have a dovetailed vest and bow tie handy to play the part of the Wild West barkeep – and have your friend wear the costume when they take over the bar.

If you like a more exotic theme, the Art Neuveau may be appropriate. A wide selection of reprints of posters from the early 20th century are available to decorate the walls and with the addition of some red velvet will make your den seem like stepping into a bar in gay Paris in the 1920s. Bloomers from the vintage store tacked to the wall, or a fancily dressed doll on a pedestal would also enhance this theme.

when decor your home bar, the accessories are also an important part. Bar Accessories come in home bars with different functions and types. Although people always think the best accessory for a home bar are unique, distinctive beverages, if you make right decision in the accessories selection, which will bring you great sensation besides convenience. From some online bar accessories stores, you can order custom screen printed shot glasses, pint glasses, and even aprons. furthermore, the under counter icemakers are available as well as clear glass door mini-fridges for bottled stock, and draught beer system!

summer_winesSummer looks not a good season for drinking wines. The hot and humid weather make some of our favorite wines lose their incredible flavor. Most summer foods are light and cool, so your wine should be light bodied and compliment the taste of the food. For example the grilled red meats which call for a medium or heavy bodied wine.

Before you choose the siutable wine for your summertime, i think you should know how the Weather Affects Wine. Wine is often stored in dark bottles to preserve the flavor more than give it an attractive outward appearance. Dark bottles keep the sun’s heat and harmful rays from penetrating and zapping the flavor out of the wine. Certain types of wine, when left in the sun, can take on the taste of baked fruit. When you’re looking for a cool, refreshing drink, this is hardly acceptable. The flavor of a summer wine should always compliment your food, but what about other aspects of taste? The decision to choose a dry or sweet wine depends only in part on the food you’re having with it. Sweet wines have an obvious amount of sugar, while dry wines have almost no sugar. Dry wines range from semi-dry to very dry and have a direct impact on the decision making process.
If you have purchased wines in summer, the most important thing is to keep your summer wine cool. During the summer, cool things don’t often stay that way for long. Unfortunately, keeping the bottle in the freezer may cause loss of flavor or freezing, but storing the bottle you’re using in the refrigerator isn’t very convenient. The ice in buckets tends to melt and can cause a mess, and ice cubes are out of the question because they severely dilute the flavor of wine. Luckily, we have the option to use plastic ice cubes to keep wine cool without dilution. Plastic ice cubes come in a variety of colors and shapes and best of all, they’re reusable. Simply wash and refreeze.

Several types of wine from Spain and France can be bought for less than$20. However here i still have some summer wines recommendation.

wine_cabinetsThe way in which you store your wine and Liqueurs will result in affecting the quality and taste of your wine overall, and so thus if you do nothing else, you need to make sure that you have your wine in proper storage where it is safe from oxygen and in a temperature controlled and noise free area.

Wine cabinets are one of the best forms of wine storage available today, and so regardless of whether you have an entire cellar’s worth of wine or just a few bottles, wine cabinets are going to be an incredibly useful addition to your home. Now, there are a lot of nice wine cabinets available both in retail stores and online. When choosing a wine cabinet, there are some things you should take into account.

The first is to decide how many bottles you intend to store. This will let you know what size wine cabinet will be best for your needs. Afterwards, figure out where in the house will be best to keep it. Avoid places in direct sunlight, against outside walls where temperature variation can spoil your wine, and in rooms subject to vibration. Then, decide how you want your cabinet to look. There are many styles available. Then search retailers for the sort of cabinet you’d like, and compare prices to be sure you’re getting the best deal. Besides them, there are also details you should take consideration.

Consider the style of your décor

Choose from any number of wine cabinet designs to match your décor. You will need to select the same style that you currently have – traditional, contemporary, Georgian, Stainless, Spanish, or modern are just a few examples.

Wine Cabinet Plans

If you are handy with tools and have a knack for building, you can construct your own wine cabinet. There are plans available online as well as in various wood crafting books that you can buy in the bookstore. Finding the right plans for what it is you are trying to create to fit your needs and your home can be part of the fun of creating that perfect piece that completes your home.

Space layout

Consider a Small Wine Cabinet if you need more space. Those who have less space available for large heavy furniture might find that their needs are better met by a small wine cabinet. Just make sure that you have enough storage space in the piece of furniture you choose to contain your entire wine collection. A cabinet that won’t hold all your wine won’t be able to preserve it properly.

kitchen_bar2An ideal kitchen starts with good kitchen design. Today’s modern kitchens are not just the places to cook up dinner, they have been the home’s central gathering place, an area where families socialize and spend time together as much as they actually sit down for meals. Making an ideal kitchen will bring your more pleasant and leisure time. The below is the three main parts of Kitchen you should care about.

Cabinetry and Countertops
Creating an ideal kitchen mostly start with discussions about new cabinets and countertops- probably the two most important things to consider when it comes to making your kitchen more efficient, convenient, and beautiful. Before you can create the kitchen cabinets, you’ll need to have a good understanding of your general kitchen design, including both decorating style and set up. If you’re planning a full kitchen remodel that involves moving or shuffling a part of the kitchen work triangle (refrigerator, oven range, and sink), you may need to radically re-design your kitchen cabinetry. As for the countertops, if you want to gain a better focus of what you want your kitchen to be and how you can design countertops for the kitchen, you’ll want to consider both kitchen trends and your own daily activities and preferences.

Flooring consideration
Kitchen flooring is another important consideration when its time to remodel. Unlike some other areas of the home, it’s wise to choose a flooring material that is resistant to the inevitable spills, splashes, and stains that cooking and eating areas are sure to experience. Stone and ceramic tile, along with laminate flooring, are your best bets here, though any hard surface will work if you’re diligent about cleaning up messes and spills as soon as they happen, and are willing to pay a little extra up front for protective sealant.

Appliances and Fixtures
Advances in technology are hard to keep up with these days, and kitchen appliances and fixtures are no exception. For appliances, visit a retailer and get an idea of what’s out there. Induction cooktops, steam assist ovens, microwave drawers, and undercounter freezers can help transform your kitchen into a chef’s paradise at the drop of a hat. When you move on to choosing fixtures, think convenience, looks, and innovation. Apron sinks, pot fillers, pull out faucets, and water stations are just a few of the thousands of innovative designs you’ll have to choose from.

tiki_barIn American’s modern culture, the word “tiki” has generally come to be associated with the stereotypical island way of life: easy living on romantic, exotic islands. However, the word has its roots in an art form created by several island cultures. Since the tiki bars introduced to pop culture in the 1930s, tiki bars have remained popular American nightlife themes. From resorts and vacation destinations to small town nightclubs and restaurants, tiki bars find a place to delight patrons.

Tiki Bar is a symbol of nature life. Tiki bars especially made in bamboo appeal to people’s basic human desire to “get back to the nature” There’s something inside each of us that would love to forget our troubles (perhaps escape that annoyed work or the just dullness of everyday life) and be marooned on a secluded island. It’s a chance to cast all of our cares away and simply have a good time.

Although no two tiki bars are exactly the same, there are a few things that all great tiki bars seem to have in common:

1. Island-themed decor. This can include nets, boating and scuba gear, shells, starfish, driftwood, and anything else that might wash up on the beach. The lighting in a tiki bar is often moody and mysterious, like the inside of a jungle hut. A tiki bar also sometimes has a thatched roof, bamboo accents, and vases or garlands of tropical flowers. Paintings and other art created by native islanders are often displayed on the walls.

2. To be a true tiki bar, of course, it has to have at least one tiki! Whether it’s authentic or reproduced, a small mask or a large wooden statue, the tiki is a great symbol of the primitive way of life that the tiki bar makes so attractive.

3. Tropical drinks. Anything fruity and colorful is a great fit at a tiki bar, especially those drinks made with rum and/or pineapple. They are usually garnished with Maraschino cherries or other fruit and often further ornamented with cocktail umbrellas. The quintessential boat drink is the mai tai.

4. Unique food. Tiki bars often serve grilled food with South Pacific flair, like kabobs, fruit-glazed meats, and anything flavored with coconut. Fire roasted flavor and fresh ingredients give tiki bar food an authentic taste.

5. Island-themed music. Traditional Hawaiian music is a natural choice for further setting the mood in a tiki bar. Other popular tiki bar music includes compilations of the original tiki lounge music, which was popular in the original tiki bar craze of the 1930s and 1940s.

The muted colors, natural exotic materials, real and/or artificial topical plants and low-wattage lighting create a tiki bar full of exotic ambiance, If there is a tiki bar near your home or work place, do not forget to have a visit, you will find a new great leisure place there!

tops_barBar Top is the long counter where drinks sit in between sips and it is arguably the most important part of the construction for any bar no matter the home bar or commercial bar. When deciding bar tops, Just remember the main points:

1. The Bar Top is the showpiece. If can’t quite afford the material you really want for your design, try looking at using it only for the top.

2. The prep surfaces will take a lot more liquid abuse. Make sure they can take it.

3. Many of the expensive materials are wasted on your prep counters.

4. Be creative. If you aren’t creative, hire someone to be creative for you.

And below are the main materials of bar top or counter tops recommend for you.

Laminates. It comes in a variety of colors, patterns, and textures. Laminate’s flexibility is very handy when it comes to making sure your bar top is both functional and awesome in appearance. Laminate is very inexpensive, especially if you decide to construct your counters yourself.

Ceramic Tile. It is cheap, durable and affords ample options for design magic. But unlike laminate, ceramic tile is an uneven surface, if your inebriated friends are going to be picking up, putting down and sliding around your expensive, fragile cocktail glasses on that uneven surface, which may cause some trouble.

Solid Surface. It is another great choice for both bar tops and countertops. Like laminates, they come in an incredible array of colors. Solid Surface bar tops or countertops feel rich, smooth, and luxurious. They are easy to clean, and are impervious to water damage.

Granite. You can get this bar top in many colors and patterns, many of which are larger and more intricate than any offered by the synthetic alternatives, but all of which are natural. It can be fun just going to your local granite supplier and walking though their warehouse, looking for just the right slab.

Marble. It is natural stone, like granite, and has perhaps even more varied and beautiful looks. It feels great too. But marble has all granite’s drawbacks, for example, fragile. In general you are far more at risk for cracks and chips with marble than granite.

Stainless Steel. This bar tops are extremely durable. In most installations, they convey a very modern or industrial design sensibility. It is also virtually impossible to stain. When properly installed, it is cool and very solid to the touch. However, steel will show fingerprints and water spots, which make it hard to keep looking good.

Wood. Wood is of course the classic bar top material. Teak, walnut, cherry, even oak can make an attractive bar top. It is very flexible in a design sense. You will have a lot of choices and options in color, shape, and style.

Epoxy and Resins.

There are a number of cool applications for epoxy and other clear resin products in making home bar tops. Most of them are highly and/or distinctively decorative. Epoxy and Resin also work great for a sports themed bar, just lay out your trading cards, pictures, pennants, etc., and seal them in forever.

wet_bar_do_it_yourselfIf you are interested in DIY, you will find there are lots of things you can do to improve the value of your home, even if you don’t have much money. If your house didn’t come with a wet bar you don’t have to spend a fortune to get one–your book shelve are the best spare furniture for a wet bar. Having a wet bar in your home is not only great for entertaining but raises the value of your home instantly.

Choose almost any set of book shelves so long as they are not too short nor too tall. When standing, the book shelves should come to approximately mid-chest.
To make the set look less like book shelves and more like a bar upholstery the front, or solid side, of the book shelves. Use adhesive spray or another type of glue to attach a half-inch thick piece of foam to the solid side of the shelves. The foam should be about an inch smaller than the solid wood piece, all the way around. Allow to dry completely. Cut a piece of fabric, leather or vinyl to the size of the wood piece and glue it around the perimeter of the foam. Make small tucks to accommodate the corners. Use decorative tacks to cover the raw edges when finished.

You can also use inch-thick foam then after attaching it and the fabric, use button screws to make a diamond pattern, or another design, on the front of the wet bar. The button screws can be made to match the fabric by simply taking a piece of fabric to a local upholster. Or you can purchase the screws in basic colors like black or brown.

For the top of the wet bar set a slab of marble or counter top material. Something appropriate can be found at your nearby home improvements store. After attaching the top to the wet bar you’re ready to supply the bar or you can do other improvements to it like upholstering the sides of the wet bar in the same manner which you upholstered the front.

Suitable stools are necessary for your wet bar. If shopping in a department store you can easily place the stools in front of your DIY design wet bar then compare the height to see if they are suitable.

Now, your global limited wet bar has almost finished. Glasswares, posters and the relevant accessories like cocktail shaker, flagon are alao needed in your wet bar. After that, enjoy the relaxation time with family members or friends with your great work!

coffe_barCoffee shop is a comfortable place to relax after one day’s work and chat with friends. Since the 15th century, coffee shop has served as a social gathering place in Middle Eastern countries where men assemble to drink coffee or tea, listen to music, read books, play chess and backgammon. Now, millions of people drink coffee every day in the whole world which give people more chance to be succeed in the coffee shop business. I believe there are some essentials to take before starting your successful coffee shop project.

Doing research is the first step before running a coffee shop. Although books and websites specifically on coffee shops are good resources for reference, going to several other coffee shops, having a cup of coffee and soaking in the experience will bring you more workable information. Do research will help you to learn people’s consumption habits, taste, your competitors’ advantages in the service and products–what menu items they sell, what kind of equipment they carry and most important, you will know where is the best place for your coffee shop. A better location will bring you more customers. Think about the amount of foot traffic you are going to be able to get at a certain location. This may be perfect for your coffee shop as it means people can come in during their breaks and lunches from work. This is an excellent strategy that will allow you to get people into your coffee shop all day long instead of just during the morning rush hours.

Make sure the theme and name of your coffee shop. This is mostly depend on your customers and environment around your coffee shop. The name should reflect the theme of your shop. All printed materials, advertising and décor should incorporate this theme. Spend time researching. Are there other businesses (not just coffee shops) that use a similar theme? If so, please make a change, because the uniqueness is important. You might think a coffee shop based on The Munsters television show is a sure winner, but your customers might view it as a one-time visit oddity, so the theme and name you choose should be localized

Make a management plan. Identify management and potential employees. Where will you look to hire? How much will you pay? If you are hiring outside your family, be informed about what the labor law requires for salary and benefits. Who will keep the books for your business? Will you hire someone to keep records? If so, identify the firm and the price for the services. Where will you bank? Check out what services the local banks offer to small businesses. Open a business account, which may require proof of a local or state license and complete the requirements for using the store name.

It is possible to be very successful with your efforts to operate a coffee shop. Doing so means you are willing to take a look at all of the various aspects of the business. You need to be willing to move forward as the needs of consumers change.
