bar_lights

Decided to call in your friends and throw a party? Or whether your old friend you haven’t seen for ages suddenly appeared on your doorstep? Even if you are not really into elbow-bending, which you definitely not, you just can’t do without a mini bar unit in your dining or living room. You never know when you will be presented with a chance to surprise and treat your guests with savory fizzy cocktails or hard spirits, or maybe boast of your rich wine collection in front of your work colleges.

Talk about the modern bar decoration, the bar light is the most important, I think. It’s often the lighting that sets the mood of a bar. Just like In most homes, soft lighting is ideal and usually table and floor lamps provide just enough or the right hanging ceiling lamps that provide ambient lighting are perfect for complementing your time spent relaxing or watching television. Depending on your tastes and style, it’s easy to select beautiful chandelier fixtures that add grace and charm or a contemporary elegance to any bar room. No longer are these beautiful ceiling lamps reserved for grand foyers or oversized bar rooms with high ceilings.

There are some lights style for your reference.

Energy Star Labels – The Energy Star Program is a joint effort between the US EPA and Department of Energy. It was created in late 1990 to provide information to consumers regarding their purchases and the energy costs associated with these purchases.

Chandelier – Light fixture that consists of many branches, quite decorative and suspended from the ceiling.

Prisms – The small decorative and beveled glass ornaments that dangle from chandeliers and are designed to catch the light.

Shades – These cover the bulbs to soften the light from floor, table and ceiling lamps

Track Lighting – A series of lights installed on a track that are suspended from the ceiling or attached to a wall and designed to light a specific area.

Pendant Lights – Small lighting fixtures that hang from a ceiling.

Sconce – Wall lights that create soft or background lighting. Sometimes can be directional – meaning the user can direct the light in any direction.

Today’s contemporary chandeliers are a bit more compact and perfectly appropriate for everyday use. Another popular favorite right now are those lighting fixtures that include the classic Tiffany shades. They allow the light to play on the many colors in the shade and are often accompanied with darker metal fixtures, such as brass. Beautiful for nearly any décor, these are timeless beauties. Along with their vibrant colors, they’re often compact enough to accommodate smaller bedrooms and front entrances.

Prefer the charm of small fabric shades? There are plenty of options to choose from in this category as well. With varying numbers of lights, we’re particularly fond of the always-classic look of black and white. What’s even better with these ceiling lights is the ability to change the lamp shades whenever you’re ready for a new look. It’s not often we’re given that option in our décor schemes.

If you’re leaning towards those light fixtures with several lamp sockets, it’s important to ensure the wattage of the bulb doesn’t exceed the manufacturer’s recommendations. The more sockets, the smaller watts per bulb you need. Today’s bulbs are far more eco friendly and include fluorescent, incandescent and quartz halogens. These are better for the environment and are a big plus when the electric bill arrives each month. The savings of switching from traditional bulbs to one of these new alternatives might surprise you. Hope you can create a heave in your home bar with the right lighting decoration.

Where do the bright restaurant design ideas come from? They just from the needs of customers. It is the customers ultimately drive restaurant design trends. Successful restaurant design ideas are bred with an understanding of the types of experiences your customers are looking for and the promise your brand has made to them. You may know what types of menu items they crave, but do you know what kinds of restaurant design ideas create an atmosphere that will welcome them time and time again? So, just follow the needs of your clienteles.

If you want offer a beach theme suitable for the fun, outgoing, energetic crowd that frequents the restaurant. Guests hang together, dance, sing and basically act the way they want without worrying about silly rules and regulations. Then you will create a Informality, ‘fun’ top restaurant design trends or you can call it casual restaurants with a “no-design” look, decors that suggest a business has a “history” of providing good times, and theme restaurants are among the hottest trends in design, experts across the nation indicate.

A number of designers say building “fun” into restaurants is also very much in style as the industry turns the corner and heads into the next decade. Murals, which made their last big sweep through commercial and residential properties in the 1950s, are also appearing in more and more restaurants, designers say. “We’re really trying to keep it informal. You can also try to avoid making everything look like it was designed; the most comfortable places are the ones where you walk in and it looks like it’s been there forever.

Most designers agree that exhibition food preparation areas and “brighter” decors are among the major design trends of the past decade that will make a graceful transition into the ’90s. Though many designers have been on the bright-decor bandwagon for some time, a number are now careful to point out that they do not mean a space should be overly lit. The goal, is to create visual drama through the use of highlights and shadows, while balancing natural and artificial light so that patrons have an easy-on-the-eyes view of the “action” restaurant-wide. That’s be perfectAnd for further consideration, we should know that among the recent designs what’s hot” list of design materials and treads. Anyway, you should fill in on all the details.

red_wineHow to select different wines? Because there are thousands (yes thousands) of wine types in existence today—many of which are so obscure and rare that most people have probably never heard of them. With that many varieties to choose from, you can make many different types of wine: red ones, white ones, sweet ones, dry ones, sparkling…and mixtures anywhere in between.

But for the red wine, maybe it is familiar to a lot of people. When talking about dry red wine types (or dry wines in general), it refers to the level of sugar found in the wine itself. To understand dry versus sweet wines, we have to understand the process of fermentation. Fermentation is what gives us the alcohol in the wine—or in any other juice. Basically, fermentation is the process of yeast eating sugar. When the yeast eats the sugar, the byproduct is Carbon Dioxide, heat and alcohol. So let’s apply this to grapes:

Do you how to make out the red wine? How about the process? First, the grapes are picked, brought into the winery and then crushed. If the grapes are picked with a very low sugar level, that translates into not as much food for the yeast to eat, which means the end result will be relatively low alcohol. If the grapes come in with a high level of sweetness, that means there is more food for the yeast and the byproduct will be a higher level of alcohol. You can see this yourself…if you’ve ever had a light Pinot Noir you can tell the alcohol is not as high as a big, juicy Zinfandel. You should figure out which wines in the store are dry and which ones are not is actually pretty easy. All red table wines you find in the store on the shelf are always dry by definition. The sweeter late harvest, ports or late picked are usually on a different shelf away from the dry reds. To get a little more specific about the level of sugar you have takes a little more research and talking with the wine person at the store…but again, the definition of dry is less than 1.4% or so residual sugar.

So how to choose a excellent dry red wine? Then you should know the wine types first. Basically, they are red wines that have a dry level of sugar (below 1 gram per liter). So that translates into a residual sugar level of 1.2-1.4% or lower. When the red wine is fermenting, the yeast is eating all of the sugar until there is little or none left. Different types of yeasts can be used for fermentation that are meant to work up until a certain alcohol level. When the red wine is fermented to “dry” you know you have a wine that has a very tiny amount of residual sugar that will be hardly noticeable to most people. Voila! Dry red wine.

When you decide to choose one, try thinking about the following:

  • The types of foods in which the wine can be paired.
  • Your favorite flavor characteristics.
  • Your guests’ preferences.

Austria’s Wines Captivate the World, as well as the Austrian red wine, which is really different, you can make some study, and you will love it.

Do you want your home bar become much more lively? Well, just hold a wine tasting club at your home bar, this surely be a good idea. So, what is it? A wine tasting club just like the book club in different ways, except of course the focus is on wine, not books. Like a book club a wine tasting club is a social gathering. The wine tasting club meets to taste, judge, and discuss wine. Wine tasting clubs are educational but are mostly a way to enjoy friends and have loads of fun. You should not confused a wine tasting club with a wine club. A wine club is a marketing tool used by wineries and wine shops to get people to sign up to receive periodic shipments of wine. They different in essence.

When you start your wine tasting club, how many things should to do for preparing?wine_club

You should decide the size of the your club. The ideal club size is anywhere from 8 to 16 people. You can start with just a very small group and it will build from there. Then you should send out an invitation with all the details about the event. Emphasize fun and education. The last thing you want is intimidation. At the first meeting set the guidelines for the club. Perhaps, choose a name for the club. Decide on meeting dates, hosting assignments, and the theme for the next tasting. Decide on what foods will be served. Is it pairing appetizers with the tasting or is it dinner after the tasting? And it always a good idea to have a person as the designated recorder or secretary. The main responsibility is to make sure they keep all the scoring results and send them out. Decide how to pick and purchase the wine. If each couple or person brings one bottle of wine then it can become a contest to see brought the “winning” wine. It is best if the host purchases the wine and then gets a reimbursement.

You should always decide a wine theme for your every wine tasting club meeting. For example, Taste six Pinot Noir wines under $20 from any region. The idea in this tasting is to find a bargain Pinot Noir wine. While taste six Pinot Noir wines between $20 and $30 from different wine regions – Russian River Valley, Corners, Santa Lucia Highlands, etc. The idea in this tasting is to discover the characteristic of each of these important Pinot Noir regions. And taste six Chardonnay wines ranging in price from $15 to $50. The idea in this tasting is to discover the differences in quality among a wide price range. Just samples, you can decide your own unique themes.

The last important things is the food and wine preparing. Twelve to sixteen people is about right for one of these wine tasting parties. One bottle of wine can easily be poured in small amounts for 12 to 16 people. Four to six wines for comparison and rating is about the right number. Bag your wines. Pour about 2 oz of wine in each glass. Provide simple hors d’oeuvres for the guests. Mild cheeses and crackers are a good choice. They help neutralize the palate between wines. After doing all these things, that maybe close to deal.

winebarbusiness

Maybe a lot of people have Imagined that of owning a profitable business that can offer you fun, friendship, and freedom. So, open a wine bar will be the best idea, you can have an exciting, creative career where you are in charge. There are few businesses that offer so many benefits. When you open a wine bar, you will have the satisfaction of making your vision a reality. You will decide everything from the name of the bar to the decor to exciting special promotions.

You should make a plan before the bar business to start. You must decide what kind of clients your wine bar will attract, upscale ones or medium-grade ones. You also need to consider that of buying an existing bar or open a new bar, Choosing a name for your bar, Where to get start-up financing for your bar business and so on.

When start the wine bar business, we should make a strategic investment first. We should make our strategy rely on the experience and proven track, take over a location where previously a restaurant was operated. Do not bring it to the venture experience, commitment, a sufficient amount of capital, and local goodwill. We can buy the bar equipment from the owner of the building and the fixtures from the previous tenant. We will be able to purchase these at a discount. The owner is interested in finding a new tenant for the location and has committed to waiving the first month’s rent and will contribute to initial advertising.

As the location for your wine bar, I think it will be much conveniently located in the center of the downtown area near two courthouses, and it is the excellent place for business people and lawyers located nearby to come for a delicious lunch and a good quality glass of wine. It will be an appropriate place to take clients: the perfect place for a lunch meeting.

After all these things done, we should consider the Products and Services of the wine bar now. This will be the most important thing for the wine bar business. And a lot of investigations need to do, and need thought-over. Are you ready, then we can make further discussion?

insidebar2The back bar is a key component to a wine bar.

One of the typical back bar that I have seen before is just like this. Along which there is a drain pipe leading out to the septic tank. In the far right corner, there is a cleanout and a vent attached to the pipe. To accommodate these, it was framed around and included an access hatch (covered by a hanging picture) to gain access to the drain pipe cleanout. The rest of the back bar is framed out to give a flat area on top, even with the bar top, for liquor display. Underneath frame the bar and the rest of the basement, used standard 2×4 stud lumber and framing nails. We should know that before framing out the bar how big the cooler and the sink were going to be: The Beer Chiller – this typical back bar chose a True model TD-50 Horizontal Bar Cooler that is 50″ x 261/2″ x 33 1/4″ (W x D x H). The Sink - For the bar sink, it set with a Kohler stainless steel double bowl sink. Once we knew the size of the sink and the cooler, we could frame out the bar easily and correctly.

Over the bar are placed three small Halo brand bulls eye lights. All three are controlled by a single dimmer located behind the bar. Each fixture has a 60 watt standard type bulb. Rope lights were installed along the under the side of the edge of the bar to provide light in the work area. two six foot lengths of rope light were joined to run the full 13 foot length of the bar. The lights are plugged into a switched outlet and controlled by a switch next to the other dimmer switches behind. The room lights consisted of six Halo brand “high hats” or recessed ceiling fixtures. Four of the high hats are controlled by one dimmer switch, and the other two by another dimmer switch. The switches are located at the bottom of the stairs. Each fixture has a 60 watt flood type bulb. Upstairs / Downstairs. There are two additional high hats placed at the bottom of the stairs and controlled by an upstairs / downstairs switch and dimmer combo. Each fixture has a 60 watt flood type bulb.

Seems it was not completed to the back bar decorating. Yes, the bar TV and Jukebox are other necessary devices, we will discuss later.

wine_serviceThe tasting of fine wine can create many miracles. In talking with a friend today, it occurred to me that alcohol (oh, the evil spirit) has been the muse for many an artist throughout history. Pablo Neruda wrote “Ode to Wine”, Absinthe was a favored drink among the “it” crowd in the 19th and 20th centuries (think Oscar Wilde, Picasso, Hemmingway, and Van Gogh), Robert Burns (of course) mentions whisky on occasion, and modern movies such as Sideways and Bottle Shock have even paid homage to our treasured beverage.

Wine lovers will tell you that enjoying wine and truly appreciating fine wine is like a ceremony or ritual. Even the using of wine glasses has certain steps or guidelines one should follow to heighten the wine drinking experience.

A glass of wine should be poured in a certain way to enhance the flavor and taste of it. Champagnes and sparkling wines need to be poured along the side of the glass to preserve the all-important bubbles. Red wines and white wines should be poured at the center of the glass allowing the wine and flavor to circulate throughout the glass. Depending on which wine you are serving, you should never fill a glass more than two-thirds of the way. While sampling different wines it is normally a recommended guideline to never pour more than a couple of sips. Otherwise your palate will be overwhelmed by the stronger flavors in some wines.

You should choose right wine glassware. Wine glasses even though seemingly unimportant is a main ingredient to a successful serving of any fine wine. Wine glasses effect the temperature of a wine. The aroma of a wine can be better appreciated in wine glasses with wide, thin rims. White wine requires narrower and more slender wine glasses in the common tulip shape.

It is a fact that the authentic experience of wine tasting can only truly be experienced when you follow guidelines that are true and tested. You don’t have to be strict but allow you to enjoy the true taste of the wine by serving and tasting wine properly. if you do follow the fine wine guidelines you will quickly understand the reason why so many true wine enthusiasts choose to do so.

wet_barMany people want to build a wet bar at their home. A wet bar has many advantages compared to other kinds of bars, which is a means to a revolutionary dining experience packed with entertainment to you and your visitors as you now have access to your foods and drinks just as you are also enabled to clean up once you feel like doing so through the incorporated sink with running water.

A typical wet bar is comprised of a bar top, storage areas, seating, and other fixtures for display. Now, as you combine these, along with, say, a refrigerator, and other useful kitchen equipments to be able to prepare drinks.

When you think of a classy wet bar addition to the home, many people may mind always go to James Bond being served a martini. That is pretty much my inspiration when looking for wet bar modern furniture additions because they have to be something that is memorable and elegant. The first one I recommended is Wooden Wine Unit, made of the richest mahogany that will showcase all of your wine glasses any time you want to pour a glass. Moving on, an amazingly chic wet bar choice is the Trio Tall Bar Cabinet in espresso that contains two glass shelves and allows you to serve on a pullout tray. Now that is multifunctional!

The bar cabinet is one of the most eye-catching piece in the wet bar. I always recommend the ones made of walnut and which looks so simple that it is classy. It is a completely modern design in that it has no extra hardware adornments but only showcases the beauty of the wood. This piece may always set with a broad base to give you the right aeration for your wine, not to mention a classy way to showcase your vino. I’ll drink to that!

wet_bar11Having bought the custom-made bar furniture Modern Furniture , you should decide the bar top, seating styles and so on. As for the displays, take into consideration where you want your serving ware to be stored. They may be placed under or at the back of the bar. You may also put picture frames, a mirror, and other signs too. With regards your storage You will certainly be consider that how multi-functional and convenient your wet bar can be. This will also delight your guests as they will now get to experience dining and drinking in a fabulous way.

casual_bar2If you’re lucky enough to have a room dedicated to your home bar, you have the freedom to paint all the walls a great shade to match your bar.

Whatever it is a wet bar or a home bar, the bar is a place for amusement and recreation. Create a casual style bar usually can get this target easily and you can be much relax in you bar.

How to build a casual style bar? I think there are two points you should hold on. Choose the right bar furniture and feasible Bar painting. The unique bar furniture that you selected can transform an area of your bar from the formal or semi-formal to the casual and it can be done with real style as well. In fact, this bar furniture are not so hard to find. You even can see in most normal restaurant , there are casual bar dining stools have all the style and lines. In many cases, you can find dining chairs variations of your bar stools. If you can obtain restaurant furniture in the same design and materials as your bar furniture then you will have a wine area that looks complete. As the eyes scan from front to back and side to side, the image is one of harmony - nothing stands out and attacks the eyes.

Obviously, bar furniture like bar stools stand out a little because of their height. However, if they sit in harmony with the rest of the restaurant, from a distance the height is almost unnoticeable. kers who take time off for lunch ‘when they can get away’, not at a specific time. Casual dinning furniture suited to casual bar furniture come in a variety of design styles, including swivel and stationary; high back and low back; and made from a variety of materials ranging from stainless steel to plastics or timber with all the natural and manmade fibers in between.

The bar color sometimes seems more important than the furniture. Even if your bar is off to the side of your kitchen, dining room, or living room, you can always paint an accent wall to separate the bar from the rest of your house. I’ve put together a couple different colors combos using Personal Color Viewer that would look distinguished in a home bar. I’ve also chosen different colored bar stools that would go well with the wall paints. Give your bar a sophisticated look with a dark brown color scheme. Since the colors are so rich, black, white, and silver bar furniture wouldn’t take attention away from the walls. Black, grey, and brown are very classic and traditional, but don’t be afraid to give them an updated spin with furnishings in bright purple or red.

Now you are all set with the right bar furniture for your home bar design!

wine_rackThe bar counter are cabinets which hold built-in lavatories (sinks) and faucets and are the most important furniture to a bar. They are sometimes called bar cabinets in England and other countries.

Typically, the bar counter is a smaller, more specialized version compared to the kitchen cabinet, but are available from all kitchen cabinet manufacturers (although not all manufacturers feature bar counter on their websites). The bar counter is designed to make bartending a pleasure and woodworking a breeze! The full length counter height worktop area provides plenty of space for mixing and serving. A standard size bar sink is located to the bartender’s right. It can be used as a wet bar sink (when plumbing lines are available) or, as a dry sink, it can be filled with ice to “quick chill” your favorite beverages. Next to the sink, usually a recess is provided where you can install the mid-size compact refrigerator (2.5 to 2.7 cu. ft.) of your choice. The base cabinet provides storage for bottles, glassware, etc and is designed to accept shelving mounted on adjustable brackets.

The bar countertop surfaces are usually protected against spills and water stains by plastic laminate. This is particularly important for any wet bar. And it can be constructed using Red Oak and Oak plywood for about $500 in materials. This estimate (which is itemized in the plans) includes all wood used, all hardware including sink, faucet, door hinges, shelf brackets, plastic laminate and all finishing materials. Of course, the estimate is a usually condition.

You can choose other more fashionable and classic styles of cabinets to set to your bar counter. Then the estimate may differ a lot. Like the In framed cabinets, wood joinery holds the parts together. Horizontal rails and vertical stiles secure the door to the box. Most cabinets have thick panels that have been corner blocked and glued or fastened with screws. Some cabinets are stapled together, but over time the staples will pull apart. Which is the standard vanity cabinet in North America. And there is frameless cabinets too, the holes are drilled at 32 millimeter (1¼”) increments vertically along side panels. All shelf pegs, hinges, drawer slides, and other fittings are secured to these holes. This versatile “32mm” system is easy to modify as your needs change. This style is popular in European countries.

Anyway, whether your lifestyle is formal or informal, a good designed bar counter can reflect your personality and personal style. We will be glad to help you find the best fits your need and desire.
