bar_furnituresThere is no absolute design when it comes to bar furniture. The design would depend on the objective of the owner of the bar. Basically, a bar should always have furniture such as seats, tables, counters, and the bar itself.

The basic pieces of furniture for bars are seats, tables and the bar itself. Many bars have the traditional high chairs that reach the counter tops of the bar. These high bar chairs are also known as bar stools. Bar tables can be set in the open area of the place (pub tables, and bar tables). These pieces of furniture usually come in a set.

Other bar furniture accessories include, the wine tables, wine racks, glass holders, and cabinets. Some bar furniture can serve recreational purposes such as dartboards, billiard tables, table tennis, gambling table, and other game furniture.

Another thing to keep in mind in choosing the bar furniture is the quality. Some furniture can be made of steel while others are made of a special type of wood (cherry, oak, cedar, etc).

Choosing bar furniture is like dressing yourself. Bars typically are perceived to be places for relaxation and a get-away-place from stress. It’s always nice to have a theme for a bar so that the place wouldn’t look cluttered, or bland. It really depends

After finished the bar furniture choosing, the next thing you need to determine is the treatment of the bar furniture. Treatment is how you’re going to style or design the place. Some people go for the contemporary look, which has a modern touch in design. Others can go for modern Japanese, western contemporary, or classic Mediterranean.

Anyway, the styles are endless, because the designer may choose from a wide selection of bar furniture that exists, original bar furniture creations, or modify bar furniture to give a different look. So, if it is your bar, just decide by yourself.

Home_barIt is so lucky if you’ve got your own home bar – it’s a perfect social gathering spot that’s ideal for entertaining! However, if it’s lacking in décor and needs to be updated, it isn’t considered very inviting.

A way to give your home bar some style is by picking out fashionable bar stools. Depending on what decorating style you want to portray in your bar, there’s a bar stool that will accommodate it. For example, contemporary bar stools feature lots of curvature and little detailing – perfect if you want a sleek, current-looking bar. If you’ve got a more traditional style, bar stools made with wrought iron or distressed wood will make your bar look like a classic British pub.

Once you’ve determined what style you’re after in your home bar design, try adding details to it. Install a sink on or behind the counter so you can clean up right at the bar. Offer different kinds of mugs and glasses so guests don’t confuse their drink with someone else’s. Add a mini-fridge under the counter so you can keep beer, wine, and cocktail juice fresh and cold – plus, you won’t have to keep going back to your main fridge in the kitchen. You can even add an ice-maker for your guests drinking hi-balls.

When it’s time to decorate! If you find your home bar feels a little cramped, surround the area with mirrors – it’ll open up the space and spread around more light. In general, bars are kept darker than other rooms, so if you want to follow that rule, keep the florescent lights to a minimum. Tea lights in glass holders give off a classy and moody look for any bar. A lot of bars hang up pictures that fit in with the style they’re going after – art deco prints are popular in modern bars, while vintage pictures of different lagers are plentiful in the UK’s pubs. No matter what your style is, try to keep the home bar design simple – since it’s a room you won’t be spending most of your time in, like the kitchen or the bedroom, you don’t have to spend a lot of time (or a fortune) on your home bar.

Remember – your home bar is all about entertaining and having fun, so make sure you have a good time designing it too!

Maybe the sink is not the first thing you’ll necessarily think of when building your home bar or renovating your current one, the bar sink is a very important addition to any room and likely something you will use every day. Being that there is such a broad spectrum of choices available on the market, it may take a bit of effort to get everything right. But just keep the following questions in mind before you start shopping, you will get it done.

1. Why would you want a prep or bar sink?

2. What material is going to best suit your needs? (Don’t worry, we go into detail on this later.)

3. In what way would you want the sink to be mounted? (We’ll cover this in a more in-depth way as well)

What are some of the best things about bar sinks? You can install your garbage disposal under them, many manufacturers offer convenient accessories such as sink baskets and cutting board covers, and they can be placed nearly anywhere in the bar-sinkkitchen, making the functionality of your kitchen even more easy for you.

Some other things you need to consider: What kind of sink you should choose, below are three styles:

The basins, It is important to find the right kind of sink to suit your needs. Because it will ideally be in your home for many years, you will want to make sure you choose something that is both pleasant and practical.

The Self-rimming: Also known as drop-in and over-mounted sinks. These sit within holes of the appropriate shape cut into the top of your counter or base material. Once a hole has been cut to allow the sink to be placed within it, the rim forms a close seal with the surface. Very easy to install and tends to work well with most countertops/surfaces.

The under mount kind: With these sinks, the edge of the countertop material is exposed and finished to flow seamlessly into the sink beneath it with the aid of a waterproof sealant. This is a very contemporary style that makes wiping things into the sink from the counter a breeze. Some of these models may offer matching covers that will essentially turn them into even more counter space while not in use.

Have you decided what is your need now? I hope so.

Wine always a place with relaxed atmosphere, hundreds of local and imported wines, tantalizing gourmet food and friendly conversation, and many people want to build a wine bar just at home, so, it become much convenient for themselves to relax.

If you want to build a modern bar, and I can give you two examples, which are so classic ones. Maybe you can get some suggestions from their designs.

wine_bar

The fist one which is called 87 West is home to Ohio’s first enomatic wine-dispensing system, an automated carousel that uses modern technology to pour wine by the glass from any bottle, process the payment and record inventory and accounting information via computer transmitters and receivers. The system is as fun to use as it is fascinating.

With mouth-watering items such as Maine lobster nachos, a pulled pork and smoky gouda quesadilla, chorizo and roasted red pepper flatbread pizza and a spinach and blue crab bread bowl, the food at 87 West can be summed up in two words — delectable and satisfying.

The presentation is beautiful and the smell of the sourdough-encrusted brie tart is simply intoxicating. Light and distinct, the fare accompanies the wine

perfectly. Try accompanying the chocolate fondue with your choice of a dry cabernet sauvignon and youll surely find yourself in taste heaven.

The second example is the Grove Wine Bar ambience

draws regulars and new habitués to its cozy interior, its seating areas and raised deck overhung by the branches of a massive tree. The relaxing a

tmosphere is complemented by the menu entrees and the wine list. Good food, great drinks, wonderful ambience, all these combine to make the Grove Wine Bar a local favorite.

While you can easily forget the lateness of the hour during evenings at the Grove, daytime offerings are equally enticing and engrossing.

For a quick lunch or light dinner, imagine the likes of sesame-crusted tuna,

venison chili, proscuitto on

your fettuccini, and the different pizza flavors, too. Wash them down with any choice of the Grove’s wine stock and it’ll be a great treat for you and your friends.

I did not make detailed description about what kind of design of

these two wine bars, because, they all so famous, and you can only see with y

our own eyes, then you can get the suggestions about your own design.

sample-wet-barUse some basic information and guidelines, then you can build an ideal wet bar very easily. You can also make changes in the dimension and other elements if they collaborate with your space but this is how it goes. Additionally, you can consult market experts for materials, lights, mixers and other stuff for further enhancement. There is always something new in the market and their ideas are certainly helpful.

The most important thing for a wet bar is the sink selecting. If your decorating taste leads you to selecting a colored sink, there are numerous choices regarding material options. Let´s begin with the age old enameled cast iron sink. These are available in a limited number of sizes, shapes and colors. You can select a white double bowl top mounted sink, plan to wait a while for your sink because it is likely it will need to be special ordered. Enameled sinks are famous for “pop offs”. These are spots of porcelain that pop off the cast iron either because they never adhered to begin with or as the result of damage or abuse of everyday use. The repair options are merely patches which are usually unsightly. The cost of an enameled cast iron sink can be a bit pricey if you are selecting an exotic model or color.

The bar top is the first component that you need to focus when building a wet bar of your choice. Its surface can either be composed of wood, marble or tile. An ideal wet bar is usually U-shaped or L-shaped. You can select any shape which suits the available space you have, but L-shaped wet bars have a very good reputation for their stability. So, it is highly recommended if you want to build an ideal wet bar. However, take into notice that a wet bar should not overwhelm your room or you will not have enough space for seats and for putting the drinks. The wall of the wet bar should supportive for wet bar’s top and the bartender side. If the basic precautions are neglected, the possibility of tipping the bar increases.

Usually the height of an Ideal Wet Bar with a range of 40 to 42 inches is reasonable. Do not let the ultimate height of the wet bar exceed more than 42 inches. The front extension of the wet bar should be range from 6 inches to 9 inches if you don’t have any plans to include bar stools. If it is not the case, the ideal front for your wet bar would look perfect if its not more than 12 inches. Exceeding these measurements would result in overcrowded and indecent look, which certainly doesn’t interest you. But what is more important is to notice that this extended front is balanced.

Besides, plan the installation of electrical appliances, refrigerators and mixes accordingly. All the basic things that you might require when you are entertaining your friends on the wet bar must be there at a hand’s distance. In addition, lightning enhances the entire look of your wet bar and creates a good environment. Using some recessed lights will be an add-on to your wet bar.

I think the above are all big parts that you need for building an ideal wet bar.

How to design a wine in a new way? Wine bar is always a place filled with clamor.

Twenty years ago he reinvented the pizza parlor with his first Fitness Pizza in Yorba Linda. There he took a dish that many Americans viewed as junk food and made it healthier. And more recently he’s taken the wine bar and made it homey and hip.

This new venture, I saw such a honey Wine Bar, is nestled right next to its long-established sibling at a busy crossroads in Yorba Linda. I visit one rainy night, and my guests and I feel immediately relaxed in the comfortable setting.

The room is small, dark and intimate, with bunches of grape-shaped light fixtures and vines hanging suggestively from the ceiling. There is a long, high communal table dominating one side of the room, and a bar lining the other side. The table is already partially full when we arrive, so we slide up to the bar and park ourselves on the tall, soft bar stools there.

This has the advantage of nearly immediate service. Once we’re seen and offered menus, we start pondering the food and beverage offerings. The thick, leather-bound list is filled with wines and upscale beers as well as a few well-edited dishes that are served tapas style, which means they are small plates, suitable for sharing.

I like the toast, especially with the Schumann Nagler Rheingau Riesling that we’ve ordered. The ever-so-slightly sweet white wine is nicely met with this savory first course. The wine is also good paired with the sashimi. The raw fish is cubed and served dramatically in an oversized martini glass. It is lightly coated in a spice forward blend of sesame oil and chili, and it’s served over fresh avocado and tomatoes. We spoon up bites with long thin paddles called firecrackers.

There’s live music several nights a week. On the night we visit, a combo adds greatly to the experience. The youthful trio offers a subtle background with gentle throws of the stand-up bass adding a romantic, almost retro, feel to the place.

As I said, some people just have a way of adding modern twists to old ideas and making them work. A honey wine bar is really wonderful.

When you are ready to layout a designing plan for your home bar – the first thing to think about is how much space you’re working with. The average wine bar is 42-inches high and 24-inches deep. Of course, you should customize your bar’s size to fit the area that you have available and your preferences. Just remember that most bar stools are 30-inches tall, so your bar should not be much lower than 42-inches high, to allow for leg room when seated.

You’ll also want to think about the shape that you’d like your bar to be. There are several options to consider including L-shaped, horseshoe shaped or rectangular bar designs. Find something that works perfectly in your space. Remember that your bar will be three-dimensional. The outlines on the floor won’t visually take up as much space as your finished bar will, once height is incorporated.

If you’re starting your project in an area with a concrete floor, it’s smart and simple to outline your layout on the floor where the bar will be, in chalk. If you’re working in an area with finished floors, it is still important to make an outline – you might consider using string or painters’ tape to protect your flooring.

A good wine rack is necessary, or just a wine bottle cabinet is a good solution for keeping the wine bottles out of the way but easily accessible. You have the option to build a wine rack or cabinet from woodworking plans, or you can buy one among many different styles.

bar_plan

Television placement is also key. You’ll want to position or mount your TV so as many people as possible can have a clear view of what’s on.

Generally speaking, a wine bar is designed with a dark look that just feels relaxing, with dark woods and classic decor. And that is the traditional wine bar design theme. But your style might lean toward a brighter look. If that is what relaxes you and gives you the right atmosphere for you, then by all means decorate to that plan.

bar_stoolsWhen creating an overall bar room appearance. The bar stools is a very important factor of “make” the room. If you buy cheapies, your bar will appear cheap. The best practice is to determine your budget and understand that barstools are a long time investment. A good quality stool will not wear out easily. Whereas cheap stools may break are a few months of use.

Here a few useful pointers when selecting bar stools:

Colours

Usually when buying new furniture of a bar, or moving into a new home, you should consider that each room is decorated with certain colors. Choosing your color palette, including patterns and types of material used on the furniture, will help coordinate a beautiful blend of style that will enhance your home bar. When you choose barstools to complement the rest of your dining area, you will want to make sure they are a color that accents the rest of the rooms other decor. Using barstools to help create an atmosphere of peace and relaxation will increase the appeal of your whole living area.

Metal or Wood

When you are choosing bar stools, you will want to make sure the woods and metals go well together. Choosing barstools that complement the other pieces of furniture and room accents in your home bar will add to the visual aspect of the beauty, as well as the overall feel of your home. Woods and metals can be combined to create a warm and appealing sense of order that draws attention and gives a sense of peace.

Choose adjustable barstools

Some barstools are adjustable and can accommodate any height of table or bar. Using adjustable barstools is an excellent option if you will be using them in various places throughout your home. Children especially like it when a special adjustable barstool is brought out just for them. They feel special and cared about when there is a seat for them that can be adjusted for their comfort.

Some bar stools come in custom height for the perfect fit. There is even the stationary or swivel choice. There are stools with a foot rest necessary to balance yourself too.

Choose the good barstools, which can not be used in home bar only, and also have become popular in homes, usually placed at the kitchen counter or at a home bar, because of their compact and functional concept. Well designed bar stools allow for a higher access to counter tops or bar surfaces when eating, drinking, or socializing. The right bar stool can even add to the atmosphere of the room.

unique_home_barHome bar is a very unique place, a place to relax and have your favorite drink after you come home from office.

A home bar can be placed in a way that looks outside or also as a place from where the television is visible. I most cases home bar is a semi open space attached to the living room and dining area.

When a home bar is attached to the living room, it serves as a serving place during party or a small family get together. The size of the home bar entirely depends upon you. If you have a habit of calling friends frequently or if you have large family where your relatives come to your home more frequently, it is a good idea to have larger sized home bar with a small refrigerator attached. So instead of depending upon the refrigerator in the kitchen it becomes an independent unit of its own.

There are some aspects that need to be considered while designing or installing home bar. And subtle lighting is always very important, which can help in mood creation.

First decide on how often do you want to use the home bar. Depending upon this you will have to stock it with your favorite drinks. And the amount of stock will decide the size of the bar. Finally look for the right space in your home that will accommodate your desired bar table and chairs.

The budget is also an important factor. The budget comes into play when you actually will start to install the home bar. For example do you want to store the drinks in a refrigerator or just a glass shutter cabinet will make a big difference in the budget. Also do you want a sink and a water connection on your bar table or are you going to arrange the water from the kitchen will affect your budget.

Whatever way you decide to go, there are four main types of bar designs that are most popular.

1) Straight type bar. This type of home bar is normally used at the end of a room with the length spanning the width of the room.

2) Back bar. This type of bar has a storage arrangement just like a bookshelf. There are three parts to this bar. The first one is the same as a straight bar with bottom storage with a counter.

3) L type wet bar. As the name suggests this bar has a L shape in plan. The short side of the L is normally used to fix built-in sink for washing purpose.

4) Corner bar. This type of bar is actually just a small cabinet to store the drinks. This is used where space is an issue.

Apart for the type of bar tables there are many factors involved in designing the perfect bar such as finishes, color schemes, lighting to create a mood. Also if you plan to install a small refrigerator in your home bar then proper electricity supply must be arranged during planning stage itself.

No matter which design style you choose, make sure to plan before you build and you will have a wonderful experience with your friends in you own home bar.
